OMG!! This store is incredible!! Beautiful and do many olive oil choices. Staff is the BEST!! Came in to get a wedding shower gift for the bride who is a TRUE foodie! The store is beautiful inside and the staff is incredibly helpful! So many choices of oil, flavored oils, balsamic vinegar, dipping sauce, olives, dishes for olives and olive oils and on and on. I got to taste a couple of the oils with small pieces of bread. I have a birthday gift to get tomorrow and I think I know where to shop!! Thank you McCauley and Company for opening such a beautiful shop. We desperately needed something like this here!!
This is still my favorite place to buy, aged balsamic vinegar! There's lots of other goodies here too. It's worth a stop to check it out. There must be something you need here.
Local, fresh, farm to fork is how to describe this place, then add fun, variety and California's best natural snacks. From pistachios and banana chips to gram fresh eggs and fresh made olive oil, this farm store is what happens when a farm stand moves indoors and is marketed mall style. There is always something gift-worthy, something snack-worthy, and everyday kitchen staples like eggs, olive oil, olives, honey, and olive wood products. I've purchased Christmas gifts here, often. We come often and spend plenty. Enjoy the flavored honey sticks and then grab a big jar of local honey for daily consumption to mitigate pollen allergies and pump up your immune system. Life is good in Brentwood.
As a part of the 2022 Farm Trail, McCauley is a valuable business within the mission to expand agri-tourism in Brentwood. As the name suggests, they specialize in olive oils, but also sell vinegars, seasoning mixes, nuts, jams, and more! I visited the store to grab gifts for an upcoming wedding I'm attending. They have an entire wall dedicated to EVOO and vinegars, and if you ask, they'll let you have samples of the ones you're interested in! For the wedding presents I grabbed a barrel aged balsamic vinegar, basil EVOO, and a Palo Alto habanero hot sauce. Gift bags are sold separately and they also add tissue paper along with it. I also included two pour spouts for easy dispensing, as well as rubber spout caps to reduce oxidation and to keep the bugs out. They do have prearranged baskets, but I wanted to make my gift more personal. For myself, I bought an orange EVOO and basil EVOO, as well as D'anjou Pear White Balsamic Vinaigrette and Fig Balsamic Vinaigrette. I'm thinking these will taste excellent on salads and pizzas. I'll most likely return for a bottle of the barrel-aged balsamic vinegar in the future because of how deep and mature the flavor tasted. In addition to oils and vinegars, they have nuts and candy in the front, seasoning mixes to go with olive oils and bruschetta, many types of crackers, local Brentwood honey, jams, spreads, serving boards, honey sticks, honey dippers, and much more! McCauley's is a one-stop shop that has it all, and Contra Costa's ag industry wouldn't be complete without it. Highly recommend this wonderful shop if you're looking for high quality deluxe EVOOs and vinegars!
Came here this summer in search of locally made honey and enjoyed my purchase. Looking around the store at the time, I figured they'd also be a great place for gifts for the foodie in your life. Fast forward to Christmas 2021 and how right I was! My dad loves unique oils and seasonings so I stopped here for one of their gift sets of locally made olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It's nicely packaged and ready to give! They also feature cute accessories like dipping bowls, trays for your charcuterie, soaps, lotions and more. Very excited to give family a gift made locally and will definitely come back for more gifts, honey, and to try some of their olive oil for my own cooking! Excellent customer service, great selection of olives, olive oil and other goodies. Don't forget to buy the frozen pies which are to DIE for! Thank you for selling wine in the shop. I made a trip today for wine & pie, and left with BAGS of goodies.
A wide variety of condiments you can find here,the place is clean and the staff is friendly.We bought some balsamic vinegar and Mc Cauley olive oIl which are fairly price and according to a regular patron here and the staff,it is worth every penny and great for gifts.
Love this place.. don't expect them to carry the cheap stuff; all their product are made with dedication and with love! The olive oil are simply the best hands down and their Balsamic vinegar (at least what my wife say) is the best she ever had. Take some fresh tomatoes; fresh mozzarella, some basil/mint leaves and drizzle some of their Balsamic vinegar and you got a good refreshing healthy side dish. Staff here are super nice, no attitude and will take the time to explain their different products to you; they really go out of their way to make you feel at home...
